    • Now returns Medusa the actual amount of mana stolen, instead of always the full value.
  • Increased Mystic Snake damage and mana steal increase per jump from 25% to 35%.

  • Increased Mana Shield damage absorbed per mana point from 1/1.5/2/2.5 to 1.6/1.9/2.2/2.5.
  • Increased Mana Shield damage absorbed per mana point from 0.75/1.25/1.75/2.25 to 1/1.5/2/2.5.

Any enemy units staring at Medusa over the next 5 seconds will be purged and slowed. Lasts 5 seconds.

Notes: Can only affect units once per cast. The slow deceases in 1.66 second intervals, slowing for 100%/66%/33% on each interval.
New Stone Gaze:
Any unit facing Medusa will have its attack, movement and turn rate reduced by 50% until the end of the spell. If the unit accumulates 2 seconds time (in total) facing Medusa, it will turn to stone.

Note: Stoned units are disabled, have 100% magic resistance and take extra damage from physical attacks. The slow lasts as long as the gaze's remaining does. Kills illusions instead of petrifying them.

Mystic Snake:
A mystic snake made of energy jumps from target to target dealing damage and stealing some energy. After it reaches its last target, it jumps back to Medusa to replenish her mana. The snake deals more damage and steals more mana per jump.

Notes: The snake's damage gets higher upon each enemy it hits. The mana steal gets stronger only when it hits a target with mana.
Stone Gaze icon.png Stone Gaze:
Any enemy units staring at the Gorgon will slowly turn to stone, removing status buffs and slowing all speed properties.

Damage to summons: 600/800/1000

Cooldown: 70
Notes: The slow deceases at a factor of 2/3/5. Does not affect enemies when Medusa is not visible to them (invisible or in the Fog of War). If an enemy faces Medusa within the 0.6 second duration, it gets purged and slowed.
  • Increased Split Shot number of arrows from 3 to 4.
  • Reduced Purge cooldown from 12/11/10 to 12/10/8.

  • Medusa can no longer purchase Aghanim's Scepter icon.png Aghanim's Scepter (like every other hero with no upgrade).
  • Increased Split Shot damage per arrow from 20%/30%/40%/50% to 35%/45%/55%/65%.
  • Replaced Gaze with Purge
Purge:
Casts a powerful anti-magic buff at a target enemy unit. Slows movement and attack speeds for 6 seconds.

Slow duration: 6
Mana cost: 125/140/155
Cooldown: 12
Notes: Can be cast on allies as well, without slowing or damaging them. The slow deceases over time.

  • Fixed Gaze not going on cooldown when used.
  • Increased base attack damage from 19-25 to 24-30 (total attack damage is now 44-50).

Old Split Shot:
Medusa magically splits one arrow into many, firing an arrow at multiple nearby enemies.

Number of arrows: 4/5/6
Damage per arrow: 100%
Notes: Is an ultimate-like and a passive ability in Medusa's 4th ability slot. Requires level 5/9/13 to be leveled.
New Split Shot:
Medusa magically splits her shot into three arrows. These arrows deal a lower percent of her normal damage.
Radius: 700
Number of arrows: 3
Damage per arrow: 20%/30%/40%/50%
Notes: Is a regular toggle ability in Medusa's 1st ability slot. Requires level 1/3/5/7 to be leveled, like regular abilities. All her attacks deal the reduced damage when toggled on, not only the extra arrows.
  • Mana Shield
    • Is now a regular ability with 4 levels, instead of an ultimate ability with 3 levels.
    • Level requirement from 6/11/16 to 1/3/5/7.
    • Changed legacy hotkey from N to E.
    • Reduced absorbed damage from 100% to 50%.
    • Changed damage absorbed per point of mana from 1/1.5/2 to 0.75/1.25/1.5/2.
    • Aghanim's Scepter icon.png Aghanim's Scepter no longer upgrades Mana Shield (used to increase damage per point of mana from 1/1.5/2 to 1.5/2/2.5).
  • Added new ultimate ability
Gaze:
Medusa focuses her most ancient power on an enemy unit. It slowly turns the unit into stone, slowing its movement speed. Medusa must channel all of her energy into this Gaze. Taking damage breaks the channeling. The slowing effect of the stone slows the unit's speed for up to 5 seconds.

Max channel time: 10
Movement speed slow per second: 9%/18%/27%
Attack speed slow per second: 9/18/27
Slow duration: 5
Mana cost: 150/200/250
Cooldown: 45
Notes: Is a channeling ability. The slow gets stronger by the mentioned values for each channeled second. When the channeling ends or gets canceled, the slow lingers for 5 more seconds. Recasting this on the same unit resets the slow.
